I'm not sure if it's okay for a software vendor to post here, so if it's not please just let me know and I'll delete this comment.  But I had some very relevant information that I thought you might want to know about.
My company makes a product called "WildPresenter" that provides more capabilities than either Camtasia or Articulate. (It's been getting some great reviews and awards.)
One of the really powerful features of the software is that when you convert a PowerPoint to Flash, you end up with the complete PowerPoint file in an editable format, so you can change the text, animations, transitions, etc. You can also change the master slides. So instead of 20 hours, it's 5 minutes to change your file.
