Now you don’t have to travel to get live BPMN training.  You can do it over the Internet!  Version 5 of the training gives you everything you get in the regular BPMessentials 2-day live class, but spread over 3 five-hour sessions.   It provides Bruce Silver’s renowned step-by-step methodology for Level 1 and Level 2 modeling based on his book BPMN Method and Style.  Level 1 uses a basic working set of BPMN shapes and symbols, yet provides a complete self-consistent framework for descriptive modeling, the kind typically done by business users for process documentation and qualitative analysis. Level 2 leverages an expanded palette, including intermediate events, such as needed for detailed business requirements. Level 2 modeling, used by business analysts and architects, can express fine details of exception handling, branching and merging patterns, and iteration. The Level 2 method and style are refinements of Level 1… so you don’t have to start over.

The virtual classroom format leverages a great e-learning platform from iLinc.  Similar to Webex or Adobe Connect, iLinc supports online presentations with 2-way interaction, including audio, chat (public and private), polls.  You have a choice of telephone or Internet audio.  You’ll run iLinc in a browser window, and Process Modeler for Visio in another window, because you can’t learn BPMN without doing exercises, hands-on.  You’ll need a PC with MS Visio 2003 or 2007 installed, but a 60-day license for the Process Modeler software is included with the training.  That’s to support the post-class certification exercise, where you’ll get individualized feedback from me.  When you pass the online exam and submit the certification exercise correctly, you’ll earn our certification of BPMN Method and Style mastery.

The price is $1095 per student (qty 1), $995 per student (qty 5+), or $895 per student (quty 10+).  The class is offered about 6 times per year, so check www.brsilver.com for the next one coming up.

    Hi,

I just found you have an online course. But I’m quite late to register myself for Jan 25th.
Are you planning to offer another online course?
It has been only 3 months since I started using BPMN 2.0 which I just found it is a perfect tool to standardize process. I have a lot of questions since I have been trying to map almost 100 process for a financial institution. I hope you can offer to me good news about a new online trainig.
    Thanks

    Deysi
