Bruce Silver Bio

The company was founded in 1994 by Dr. Bruce Silver, a leading independent BPM and ECM industry analyst and consultant.  He is technology track chair at the Brainstorm BPM Conference series, and a frequent presenter on BPM Suite technology.  He is the author if the 2006 BPMS Report published on BPMInstitute.org and SOAInstitute.org, and of the Manager's Guide to BPM Software, sold by Bruce Silver Associates.  In addition, he provides free Industry Trend Reports on brsilver.com, and writes the Change Agent column for Intelligent Enterprise magazine and the BPMS Watch column for BPMInstitute.org. 

Dr Silver was formerly Vice President at BIS Strategic Decisions (which became Giga Information Group, now part of Forrester Research), where he directed the Workflow, Document, and Imaging Strategies market research service, and chaired the annual Business Process and Workflow Conference. 

Dr. Silver is on the board of directors of Captiva Software (CPTV), a leading document imaging software vendor.  In the 1980s, he was a principal developer of Wang's WIIS document imaging system, Wang Office Fax Gateway, and OCR Server.  Before that, he worked in R&D, business planning, and marketing at Polaroid Corporation.  Dr. Silver holds four US patents in electronic imaging and digital photography.
