Agree with Sandy&#039;s comments. $6B includes software that&#039;s not exactly BPMS. I also think the analysts will be adjusting their estimates downwards this year. We will see. Regardless, I think this will continue to be one of the highest growing enterprise software segments. So the conclusion is the same: Don&#039;t ignore BPM...</description>

The $6B is the analysts number, primarily Gartner, and I agree that I think that they&#039;re changing what they&#039;re counting in order to make the market appear larger.

The 150-to-25 vendors is also an analyst figure. I disagree with you about there having been 150; if you take every vendor that has ever labelled themselves as BPM in any way (likely including modelling vendors), I&#039;m sure that you&#039;d reach 150. As for 25, we&#039;re definitely not there yet, although consolidating is going on; Gartner actually stated that for end of 2008, not 2007 as you suggest.</description>
